Payments 4 Schools

We have joined the Shropshire Council Electronic Payment System. This system will allow parents/carers to make secure payments to the school online, through the Shropshire Council web site. We are still able to accept cash and cheques, but the online payment is an alternative method which will be more convenient for some.

So wherever on our site that you see the link below, you can use it to access the service.

National Three Peaks Challenge

 3rd - 4th May 2014Hooray s

Belvidere Student Jacob Caddick, together with others, took on the Three peaks Challenge to raise funds to help send children from less developed countries to take part in the 2015 World Scout Jamboree.

His part in the venture raised more than £500, well done Jacob.

WW1 Centenary

poppyThe Library and the History department are jointly planning a commemoration event in the Library the week commencing the 30th June, to remember the soldiers that lost their lives. There will various events taking place, including; WW1 poetry, music compositions and recreating the delivery of coded messages by homing pigeons.
If anyone has any WW1 items, replicas or photographs they would not mind being on display, please can you contact Miss Hatch or Mrs Jex.
Holocaust Survivor
Later, we have an amazing opportunity for the Yr9 students to listen to a Holocaust Survivor speak at the school on the 1st July. Harry Bibring experienced life in Nazi Germany, and he will gives us his first hand account of what it was like to be a Jewish boy under Hitler's regime.

District Champions

A team from Belvidere has won the District 5 a side football competition, which took place at the Power League.

All schools entered 2 teams into 2 league formats, we got through to the semi final on goal difference and went onto beat Meole Brace in the final.

BBC School Report Day

BBC News School Report gives 11-16 year-old students the chance to make their own news reports for a real audience.

Students wrote news reports from interviews and research, then edited them into a collection for uploading to our website, all by the 2pm deadline.
