Year 6 to 7

At Belvidere we place great emphasis on the individual, identifying strengths and anticipating problems at an early stage, so that every student is given the opportunity to fulfil their true potential. 

We have high quality Teaching and Support staff and offer a broad curriculum. If you are, technical, sporty, musical, dramatic, linguistic, mathematical, scientific, we have the opportunities for you to enhance your talents. 

We have over 830, 11- to 16-year-old students, on role with an intake of 168 in each year group. The majority of our students go on to study at Shrewsbury Colleges Group.  

The transition to secondary school is a huge leap and we make every effort to ensure it is as smooth and anxiety-free as possible. With support from the whole school community, new Year 7 students settle quickly and happily, well prepared and eager to face new challenges. 

 It's like a blast of a ride; enjoy every minute because it goes very quickly. 

It's really interesting and you get lots of opportunities, like sports teams and trips, such as France. 

My year has been really good, all the teachers are really nice.
